Why this order works
Seeing the temples first makes the village workshops legible. Reversed, the villages read as souvenir stops, which they are not.
Meal, fuel and toilet anchors
- Meal: Bishnupur town before leaving for Panchmura.
- Fuel: Bishnupur or Bankura town.
- Cash: assume no card or UPI in the workshops.
Avoid if
- On festival days, when many workshops are closed.
- If you want to arrive unannounced in large groups — these are homes as well as workshops.
