Late September. The monsoon is drawing back. There is water in the falls but the rock is still slippery, so this is a month for reservoirs and craft villages rather than for stepped descents and hill climbs. Clear hill mornings usually return through October.

Oboshor is being built near Susunia — somewhere to stay, somewhere to eat, and a travel publication about the region around it. The Journal is run under its own editorial rule: no itinerary is bent toward our own rooms, and we take no commission from anyone else’s.
